Our hearts are heavy. We lost an amazing Dad, grandpa and great grandpa. God ended his pain and took him home. We are so grateful to have had him in our lives. Dad loved us unconditionally and was always there when we needed him.
Dad met his soul mate Shirley later in life. They married and had an amazing time traveling, curling, laughing and loving each other.
After Shirley passed Dad stayed in Winnipeg for a short time before sisters conspired to get him back to Alberta and it worked. Before moving back he enjoyed spending time with his brother Emile and his family. Having a drink and watching TV or celebrating birthdays and holidays, those were special times for Dad.
He is survived by his children Deb (Dan), Lance, Pam, Lorelie (Rick), C.J., Melinda Robyn (Doug), Ronaye (Greg), and Erin (Mike). 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters.
He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Shirley, son Court, one grandson and 2 granddaughters. He was a man who worked hard, rarely complained and was respected by all that knew him.
In lieu of flowers we would love if you would share a fond memory you have with Dad or donate to a charity of your choice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
