Larry Thomas Towers

July 21, 1941 - June 17, 2026

In the small town of Galahad, Alberta, on July 21, 1941, Larry Towers was

born. On June 17, 2026, he passed away in Edmonton, Alberta at home

with Sharon & his beloved cat. Larry and Sharon’s life together started as

friends, meeting in Wetaskiwin when they were young. Years later, fate put

them together at a live music event. Larry offered Sharon his seat, and that

was the beginning of 52 wonderful years together. Our hearts are broken.

We will miss him and that infectious smile so much. Larry was so kind &

hilarious and was truly loved by all who knew him.

Larry will always be remembered and loved by his wife Sharon, his children

James & Karey-Laine, grandchildren Madison & Jacob and great-

granddaughter Evangeline, sister Joanie as well as nephews Jack,

Christopher, James and Darren, and niece Michaela.

Larry spent most of his working life in the oilpatch, finishing his career at

Brenntag. In his younger years, he also got his pilot’s license and enjoyed

flying. Extremely handy, he was always ready to help family with building

projects. He & Sharon loved Palm Springs, where they spent many winters

and were often joined by family. No one had more fun than Larry in the pool!

He loved to barbecue for the family and his prime rib roasts were legendary.

Golf was Larry’s favorite pastime, and one of his proudest moments on the

course was making par at Pebble Beach. He was also a faithful Oilers and

Edmonton Eskimo fan.

Thank you to Brandy at Pine Box Funerals for her help & guidance.

Cremation has taken place and per Larry’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
