Brian Ronald Bruce

April 20, 1952 - September 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share that Brian Bruce, 73, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2025, in Sherwood Park, AB.

Born and raised in Northern Ontario, Brian carried with him the values of hard work, resilience, and love of the land. In his early years he made the move west, settling in Alberta, where he built a life grounded in family, friendship, and community.

A proud and long-standing member of the Ironworkers Union Local 720, Brian devoted decades to his trade and was deeply respected by his peers for his skill, grit, and loyalty.

Beyond his work, Brian was a man of many passions and an even bigger heart. He delighted in spoiling his grandchildren, sharing his knowledge of horses and hunting, and working tirelessly at whatever task was in front of him. He loved the outdoors, travelling, and above all, being with his family.

Those who knew Brian will remember his generosity and his joy in the simple things - cooking a meal (almost always something he had caught, picked, or grown), sharing a story or bit of wisdom, or offering a helping hand without hesitation. His presence filled everyday life with warmth and steadiness.

He leaves behind a loving family and countless friends who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by cherished relatives who will be holding him close once again.
