Margaret (Margit) Zacsko

September 8, 1930 - September 13, 2025

Margaret (Margit) Zacsko, Anyu, Mrs Zee, Mama, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.  She was surrounded by her devoted family to the end.  Margaret was born in Hungary in 1930 and sought refuge in Canada during the revolution in 1956.  She was predeceased by her parents and only brother, Zoltan Berenyi.  

Margaret married Rudolf Zacsko in 1955 – nearly 70 years married, they lived a life of adventure and were surrounded by love.  Margaret was deeply devoted to family, her grandkids in particular.  She is survived by her loving husband, Rudolf (Rudi) Zacsko, three children, Martha, Kathy and Rudi Jr., four grandchildren, Maggie, Rachel, Isaac and Gabriel, and a great grand-daughter, Fallon Ross.  

Margaret was a master gardener, an established cook and a clean freak.  She would set aside any and all chores however, to get down and dirty with her grandkids.  She was the best playmate a grandchild could ask for.

Margaret was very involved with the women’s group at St Emeric Hungarian Catholic Parish, where she enjoyed prepping bake sale goodies with her friends.

Margit, Édesanyánk, Mama, we hope you know just how much your love and devotion impacted your family through the years.  We are forever grateful for the time we had with you. May you rest in peace and rejoice in heaven with loved ones, ones lost and now found.
