Lori Skitsko
September 11, 1954 - April 5, 2024
With her family by her side, Lori peacefully passed away on Friday, April 5, after bravely battling cancer.
She was a beloved sister, aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Lori was cherished for her wit, sense of humour, and the warmth she brought to family dinners. She had a passion for gardening and delighted in sharing her harvest. Her skill in making borscht was legendary among those fortunate enough to have some.
Lori is survived by her sister Patti Berry (Jerry), nieces Kristyn and Robyn (Michael Sugden), and great nieces Grace and Ella.
A special thank you to her cousin Susan Capyk and dear friend Chris Bowie for their attentive care for Lori throughout her journey. Though she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who knew her. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to Pilgrims Hospice for their compassionate care during Lori's final days.
As per her request, there will not be a service, but a private family gathering instead. Any memorials or donations made at Pilgrimshospice.ca in Lori's memory would be appreciated.
