Brenda Primeau
August 28, 1958 – May 19, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Primeau on May 19, 2026, after a short but fiercely fought battle with lung cancer. Her strength throughout her illness was nothing short of inspiring, and she faced every challenge with determination and positivity.
Born in Westlock, Brenda was raised on a farm alongside her four siblings, where she learned the value of hard work, resilience, and dedication from a young age. These early years helped shape her strong work ethic, her drive for success, and altruism she carried throughout her life.
Brenda was truly one of a kind—bubbly, social, and full of life. With a smile that could light up any room and her gift for bringing people together, led to lifelong friendships wherever she went. Whether she was hosting family gatherings, playing cards with friends, or simply spending time with those she loved, Brenda created spaces filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories.
A devoted mother, Brenda made sure her children were always supported and present at every sporting event and milestone. Her dedication and love were constant.
Brenda’s love only grew as she became a grandmother. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren—whether it was going garage sailing, making cookies, playing go fish, or lending a helping hand with babysitting. Her warmth, patience, and playful spirit made her a deeply cherished Grandma.
During her retirement, she enjoyed staying active at exercise classes, golfing, road trips and spending time playing cards with her friends and family—always happy to enjoy a glass of her favorite boxed Merlot.
Brenda is survived by her loving children: Brittney (Mark) and Kyle (Alanna), grandchildren: Charlee Rae, Hailee, Gracelynn, Everett and Ryann, her mother Vivian and her brothers: Darcy (Carmen), Robert (Janene) and Conrad. She was predeceased by her father Wilfred and sister Linda.
A celebration of life will be on June 11th at 1pm at the community hall in Fort Saskatchewan (9964 93 Ave), where family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, laugh, cry, and honour the remarkable woman she was.
