Helmut G. Schaade

October 31, 1935 - November 7, 2025

It is with thoughtful reflection that we announce the passing of Helmut Gunter Schaade, who died peacefully at the age of 90 on November 7, 2025.

Helmut was born in Germany on October 31, 1935 and later established his life on a farm near Legal. A skilled and meticulous mechanic, he had a lifelong passion for fixing, building, and tackling projects that demanded both patience and precision. His remarkable ability to understand the inner workings of machines was one of his greatest gifts, and he approached every task with care, craftsmanship, and pride.

Helmut is survived by his sons, John and Friedrich Schaade; his daughters, Rosemarie Jackson and Carmen Schaade; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Although his relationships with his children were not always close, his life and experiences remain an important part of their story. His independence, resourcefulness, and determination are remembered by those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, when family and friends can gather to honour his life in a manner that reflects who he was.
