Margaret Julia Wilson (Thompson)

March 13, 1941 – November 24, 2025

If you like dancing in a warm rain, beholding a beautiful sunset, or watching the clouds float by on a sunny summer day, you may know Margaret.

She passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the age of 84 years near her home in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

An artist, a mother, a grandmother, and a retired bookkeeper — Margaret was always up to something: helping others, drinking strong coffee, or producing beautiful quilts, slippers, ceramics, dolls, paintings, or handmade books.

Margaret could always see beauty in everyday things around her. Her friends and family could always see the beauty in Margaret — Mom, Gram, or Granny, as she was known to various people.

Celebration of Life to be held December 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Location: 6403 Roper Road, Edmonton, AB.

A service with reception will follow.

Margaret’s memory will live on in her surviving children, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, grandchildren of the heart, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, several siblings, husband Don, and son Douglas.

In lieu of other tributes, please consider a donation of art supplies to a local school, church, or seniors’ care home.

If you are unable to attend in person, please join us via Livestream.
